Dear Parents

For the past few months, we have been wrestling with various aspects of our business as we progress into 2019 and beyond while functioning on minimal sleep since bringing my first son, Xavier, into the world. No matter which way we looked at things, it became more apparent that sadly, the snoepie at JVR no longer formed a part of our long-term vision.

Pure Good has grown substantially since we took over the running of the Tuck Shop, opening at The Foschini Group Head Office in Parow in Nov 2017 and at Workshop 17 in the Watershed at the V&A Waterfront in May this year. With the growth, having to juggle all our sites as well as motherhood, I’ve realised it’s become increasingly challenging to give the Jannies the love and attention it truly deserves.

Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to not renew the contract into 2019. This was one of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make in my business’s lifespan, as I have loved being a part of such an amazing school, feeding all the wonderful kids and hopefully having made a difference in their lives and the way they approach food as they grow up. I have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the teachers and parents and hope to maintain this good relationship in the future.

We will continue to operate until the end of the 2018 school year, and I will work closely with the OOV in making sure the take over is as seamless and beneficial for the learners as possible. Please feel free to send me an email at if you have any questions.

Yours in health and happiness 🙂
